The HARMONIA project aims to develop innovative solutions for assessing and mitigating urban health risks associated with air pollution and climate change. At its core, the Urban Health & Well-being Decision Support System (DSS) integrates predictive analytics and advanced visualization tools to help urban planners and policymakers manage health risks. The DSS uses pre-trained machine learning models to forecast emergency department encounters linked to air pollution, relying on meteorological, satellite, and auxiliary data to create detailed spatial distributions of health hazards. The system provides both temporal predictions and 2D risk maps, offering a clear view of health risks at a pixel level. With a user-friendly interface, the DSS supports periodic updates and enables stakeholders to make data-driven decisions for sustainable urban resilience, focusing on public health, air quality, and climate adaptation.
